Gillhams Solicitors' lawyer Lisa Cornish is caught wilfully breaching litigation privilege in an attempt to mislead HHJ Luba QC sitting at the County Court Central London to assist slum landlord accused of a breach of contract

Financial Fraudster News Investigations courtesy of a source close to a property rental company has seen sight of a conspiratorial attempt by Gillhams Solicitors a small firm of solicitors based in Golders Green, North London to breach litigation privilege by using documents in a separate live and ongoing proceedings in order shore up a weak defence in a case against a client identified as WD Properties (UK) Ltd a purported slum landlord who is accused of breach of contract, fraud and perverting the course of justice.

Gillhams Solicitors lawyer Lisa Corish aided by paralegal Anna Heuberger and endorsed by veteran barrister Howard Lederman have in a conspiracy obtain and used the material obtained from a third-party source in direct contravention of a Solicitors' Regulation Authority code of conduct.

Corrupt Cornish is a partner at the firm and according to the Gillhams Solicitors website states; Lisa Cornish is a Partner specialising in advising individuals. Clients value her supportive approach and clear direction... It now appears that a desparate Cornish (left) has found herself overzealous in her intentions to appease a client and has purportedly resorted to nefarious conduct in a bid to win a legal action at all costs risking her reputation and her duty as a solicitor to ignore the code of conduct that Cornish has a duty to uphold and who is also bound by and as an officer of the court Cornish must be held to a higher standard.

Furthermore, Cornish was able to potentially tarnish up and coming paralegal Heuberger (right) who has wilfully, recklessly and ably assisted Cornish contrary to the Solicitors' Regulation Authority code of conductin disseminating ongoing documents bound by litigation privilege in order to subvert the course of justice with little care for the purposes and the context such is the deparate attempt to assist a client. Heuberger a paralegal at the firm and according to the Gillhams Solicitors website states; “Anna graduated in 2013 with a Law degree from Westminster University following which she completed the Legal Practice Court at the University of Law in 2015...

What is litigation privilege?

Litigation privilege is distinct from legal advice privilege. Litigation privilege subsists in documents, including communications, which are confidential, and which have been produced in circumstances where litigation is either in progress or where there is a reasonable prospect that it will happen, provided that the litigation is the dominant purpose for which the document was created.

Confidentiality

Neither litigation privilege nor legal advice privilege can be claimed in relation to a document or communication unless that document or communication is confidential. That said, confidentiality alone will not confer any privilege: to claim litigation privilege, litigation must be in progress or there must be a reasonable prospect that it will happen.

Ongoing nature of litigation privilege continues

It is important to note that litigation privilege subsists, even if the claim for which purpose the document was produced is not pursued or if the threat of litigation has passed. This means that a document remains privileged in subsequent litigation, even if the subsequent litigation is on a different matter, unrelated to the initial hypothetical litigation.

It is therefore vital that you do not treat these documents differently after the threat of litigation has subsided. Such documents may be important in the future, and so they should be stored in a confidential and secure place.

Financial Fraudster News Investigations has spoken to an unnamed source from the Solicitors' Regulation Authority who stated “…any complaints about misconduct, breach of trust or litigation privilege abuse by qualified solicitors will be taken seriously and fully investigated...”
